Binaytara is a global oncology non-profit organization dedicated to reducing disparities in cancer care through oncology education, implementation science research, and scholarly publishing. Binaytara provides continuing education to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses and organizes over 70 CME/CE-accredited oncology conferences across the United States; develops cancer programs in under-served communities; conducts implementation science research to improve cancer care delivery; leads advocacy to improve access to cancer care; and publishes educational content through platforms such as OncoBlast, the International Journal of Cancer Care and Delivery (IJCCD), and The Cancer News.

Position Summary

The HR & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing human resources functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws, managing day-to-day office operations, and providing leadership to the logistics team. This role is ideal for a mid-level professional with strong HR expertise and organizational leadership skills who enjoys working across multiple areas of operations in a dynamic nonprofit setting.


Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Management

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the organization.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Administer employee benefits, payroll coordination, and leave requests.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and maintain HR policies/handbooks.
  • Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes.
  • Maintain HRIS and personnel records.

Program Operations & Office Administration

  • Supervise and support the logistics team (assistant manager, coordinator, and assistant) to ensure smooth execution of conferences, fundraising events, and internal office events.
  • Oversee travel booking, logistics planning, and event preparation to ensure deadlines are met and events are professionally executed.
  • Monitor workflow, quality standards, and policy adherence, ensuring effective conference logistics management through cross-departmental collaboration (education, marketing, sponsorships teams).
  • Oversee daily operations of the Bellevue office, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Manage supplies, equipment, facilities, reporting/filings, and cross-team workflows.
  • Provide leadership support through effective internal communications, administrative systems, and organization of office events and team-building activities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR and operations experience (nonprofit or small organization preferred) with a minimum of two-year managing and supervising teams.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience managing benefits, payroll processes, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS software, and office productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Preferred

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
  • Supervisory experience, ideally leading small teams.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit HR and operations.
  • Experience managing events.
